This privacy policy sets out how Comunitee uses and protects any information that you give Comunitee when you use this website.

Comunitee is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Comunitee may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from OCTOBER 7, 2011.

Comunitee is a social news sharing website which automatically personalizes the news for each user based on user behavior and shares those interests with ALL other users on Comunitee and in some cases on other social networks if the user grants permission to these other social networks. Comunitee will suggest or “tag” certain users with certain news “keywords” based on the Comunitee Algorithm. In some cases these “keywords” may not be accurate. The user has the ability to remove their endorsement of each “keyword” by removing each keyword from their “My News” section of Comunitee. This specific information, including system suggested keywords, user reading patterns and the actual articles read by each user will be shared with the ALL Comunitee users (and in some cases on other social networks) in order to provide a better experience for all Comunitee users. A user may disable others from seeing the actual articles they have read in the Account Settings section of Comunitee.com by checking the box “Do not allow anyone to view the articles I am reading, just share my topics." This will NOT remove any past data on articles read for this user and the system will still be sharing all “keyword” specific data that is attached to each article the user reads.
