More People Have Mobile Phones Than Toilets
A stunning little statistic from a United Nations report. More people now have mobile telephones around the world than have access to a flush toilet. Given that the water closet is several centuries old and the mobile phone really only about 30 years mature that's a pretty stunning difference in the two technologies adoption: Six of the world's seven billion people have mobile phones - but only 4.5 billion have a toilet, according to a U.N. report.
