State Regents raise tuition, fees at colleges, universities

(AP) — The state Board of Regents has increased tuition and fees by 4.8 percent at Connecticut's community colleges and regional state universities. The Hartford Courant reports (http://cour.at/1bAGOTM ) that for Connecticut residents, the average increase will be $186 more for community college students and $440 more for university students.

UConn Foundation takes job of Alumni Association

(AP) — The University of Connecticut Foundation has agreed to take over the role of the school's Alumni Association, which folded under pressure from university President Susan Herbst.
