Teen killed, another injured when car hits them in Danbury

Police say Rebecca Draper Townsend of Brookfield died after the accident Thursday night on Lake Avenue near the Westside Campus of Western Connecticut State University. Authorities say Townsend's friend and fellow Immaculate High School graduate, 17-year-old Benjamin Arne of New Fairfield, is in serious but stable condition at Danbury Hospital.
