Men sentenced in theft of vases from Ohio cemetery

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — A judge in northeast Ohio has sentenced two men to pay for dozens of bronze vases they stole from headstones at a cemetery. The Akron Beacon Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1rRHpU0 ) the men were sentenced for their roles in the theft of 40 to 60 vases from tombstones at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Springfield Township.

Milwaukee barber sentenced for role in Stradivarius violin theft

Dozens of stolen school computers recovered

PHOENIX (AP) — Police have recovered dozens of computers stolen from a west Phoenix elementary school. Sgt. Tommy Thompson says four teenagers have been arrested in the theft of the computer equipment valued at between $50,000 and $60,000.

Thieves strike Habitat for Humanity group in Iowa

North Smithfield teacher accused in school theft

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — A teacher at North Smithfield Middle School is accused of stealing almost $7,000 from the school department. Ben Scungio, a lawyer for the School Department, declined to say whether Chuey is still employed there, but told the Woonsocket Call that any employee accused of wrongdoing is entitled to a hearing before the School Committee.
