NEW YORK (AP) — A federal appeals court says a former New York City councilman was properly convicted of conspiracy and fraud charges. The Bronx Democrat is serving five years in prison after his 2011 conviction for misdirecting more than $2 million from 2002 through 2009 through sham non-profit groups.

Report finds wider sex abuse at elite NYC private school
