Texas boy brought unloaded gun to school DUMAS, Texas (AP) — Officials say an elementary school student in Dumas who brought an unloaded handgun to school did not intend to hurt anyone. The 10-year-old boy opened his backpack during the morning assembly to show other students the gun. A student told a teacher and the gun was secured.
