Still no ID for victims of fiery car-LIRR crash
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities are awaiting autopsy results and dental records to help identify two people killed in the fiery crash of a car and a Long Island Rail Road train.
Officials tell Newsday (http://bit.ly/Ulor92 ) that the out-of-service train struck the car after it went around a crossing gate on Tuesday.
A railroad spokesman says the engineer pulled the emergency brake.
The burning wreckage was pushed half a mile before finally coming to rest at the Brentwood station.
