Farmington schools to install solar panels

(AP) — The Farmington school district is installing a $1.8 million array of solar panels on a district building to conserve energy and reduce costs. The (Peoria) Journal Star (http://bit.ly/ZOzr4E ) reports Farmington Central Community Unit School District 265 celebrated the project with a groundbreaking this week.

2 Vermont businesses get $3.1m solar energy grants

(AP) — Vermont's congressional delegation says two of the state's businesses are receiving a total of $3.1 million in grants from the Department of Energy to help make solar energy more affordable and accessible. Norwich Technologies will use the money to improve the effectiveness of large-scale solar installations and make construction of solar components more cost effective.
