Sentencing in Iowa City landlord slaying
The Gazette in Cedar Rapids (http://bit.ly/WzwEqa) says that means 20-year-old Charles Thompson will serve no additional time behind bars in connection with the 2009 death of 64-year-old John Versypt, of Cordova, Ill.
Thompson had originally been charged with first-degree murder along with two other men, but pleaded guilty to an accessory charge after a judge declared a mistrial in his case more than a year ago.
