Private school in Troy skips day for good causes
TROY, N.Y. (AP) — Students at the Emma Willard School in Troy are skipping class for a good cause.
The 328 students of the all-girls private high school and their teachers are spending the school day Wednesday performing acts of community service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
The girls will work with animals at the local humane society, make meals for the poor and perform other services in the community.
