Police sergeant shot answering Pa. domestic call
BALDWIN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in western Pennsylvania say a Pittsburgh-area police sergeant was injured in a shooting while responding to an early morning domestic call.
Emergency dispatchers in Allegheny County said the gunfire happened at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday at a home in Baldwin.
Police Chief Michael Scott told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (http://bit.ly/Y37z65 ) that the Baldwin sergeant was hit in the lower back, but the wound didn't appear to be life-threatening. The sergeant was not identified.
Scott said no one else was injured.
