Oxnard man rescued by passing motorcyclist in near drowning

The Ventura County Star reports (http://bit.ly/1IWYZAZ ) that 55-year-old Boyd Tarwater stripped off his motorcycle gear, swam out and brought the man to shore around 3 p.m. Monday near Mandalay Beach.
