Man convicted of murder in Oklahoma girl's death

(AP) — A jury has found a man charged with killing his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter guilty of first-degree murder. Howard had told investigators he dropped the child while throwing her in the air, but Dr. Chrystal Carter testified Thursday the girl had suffered multiple bruises, brain swelling and a skull fracture.

Court upholds conviction in Durant child's death

(AP) — The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals says it won't reverse the second-degree murder conviction of a man charged in the 2012 death of his 14-month-old son in Bryan County. Jurors rejected a first-degree murder charge against Marin Clay Allison on Oct. 2, 2013, but convicted him of a lesser offense and recommended a 19-year prison term.
