NYC lawmakers set Feb. 4 hearing on subway safety
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City lawmakers have set a date to discuss a spate of deaths in the nation's busiest subway system as transit officials also mull safety on the tracks.
A stumbling woman took a fatal fall onto the tracks, a man was killed when he fell while walking between cars, and another was killed after apparently jumping under a train at Times Square.
