No crime in openly carrying rifles in Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police responded to a report of two men carrying rifles in Portland's Sellwood neighborhood Wednesday afternoon and found two 22-year-old men openly carrying rifles on their backs.
They said they were exercising their Second Amendment rights, hoping to educate the public.
Police say it's legal to openly carry a firearm in Oregon, although it's likely to generate 911 calls from an alarmed public.
