Mo. man charged with murder in death of his father (AP) — A southeast Missouri man is now facing second-degree murder charges for allegedly beating his father to death with a baseball bat. The Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic reports that 27-year-old Matthew Jenkins of Poplar Bluff was originally charged with two counts of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
