Mich. lawyer claims Ind. prosecution was political
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A Michigan attorney claims in a lawsuit that former Indianapolis prosecutor Carl Brizzi and former Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita used unwarranted charges against her in a cemetery theft scheme to enhance their political reputations.
The lawsuit filed last month in federal court in Michigan contends prosecutors ignored evidence in Katz-Crank's favor and that Rokita and Brizzi used her indictment to advance their political careers.
