McCrory picks 3 to NC education board
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Gov. Pat McCrory has appointed three new members to the State Board of Education, including one who is a former congressman and state Republican Party chairman.
McCrory told legislative leaders Wednesday he's chosen Bill Cobey of Durham, Greg Alcorn of Salisbury and Becky Taylor of Greenville to the state's policy-making board for the public schools.
