Man back in court after murder conviction tossed
(AP) — A man whose murder conviction was overturned by the Oregon Supreme Court last fall returned to a Roseburg courtroom this week.
The court revised its standards for allowing eyewitness testimony when it ordered a new trial for Samuel Lawson, whose conviction was largely based on the account of a woman critically wounded in the attack that killed her husband at an Umpqua National Forest campground in 2003.
