ATLANTA (Reuters) - A Georgia man who had been due to be put to death on Tuesday evening was granted last-minute stays of execution by a U.S. federal appeals court and a state appeals court, his lawyer said on Tuesday. Warren Lee Hill had been scheduled to be executed at 7 p.m. local time. The stays by the Eleventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and a state appeals court were granted shortly before he was expected to be put to death, said Brian Kammer, one of Hill's attorneys.
