Fire that killed 2 in Clark County investigated

State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the fire occurred at a two-story house in Berryville shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday. The fire is being investigated by the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation's Culpeper Field Office with assistance from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Clarke County Sheriff's Office.

Fire destroys building at former Md. naval station

ELKTON, Md. (AP) — State and federal authorities are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that destroyed a building at a former naval station in Cecil County. The state fire marshal and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the origin of the blaze, which consumed a vacant three-story building at the former naval station.
