Watch: Helicopter rescue of two teenagers from cliff

A California Highway Patrol helicopter plucked two teenagers clinging to the side of a beachside cliff in Marin County in a dramatic rescue captured on video. CHP Officer Daniel Hill says the 17- and 18-year-old boys were stuck about 75 feet up and had no way of getting down. Neither of the boys was hurt in the incident

Pregnant woman killed in suspected DUI crash

(AP) — The California Highway Patrol says a pregnant woman has died from injuries suffered in a crash involving a suspected drunk driver in Shasta County. The Redding Record Searchlight (http://bit.ly/1tNZQt7) reports the accident occurred on Highway 44 near Millville about 9:30 p.m. Friday, when a Toyota Camry crossed into oncoming traffic, crashed into a fence and rolled several times.

(AP) — California's attorney general says it's too soon to say if the state will appeal a federal judge's ruling that the state's death penalty process is unconstitutional.
