NY man wants Boy Scouts to have Md. retreat

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — A retired apparel industry executive wants to donate his sportsman's getaway on Maryland's Nanticoke River to the Boy Scouts. An agreement signed in July was conditioned, in part, on the Wicomico County Board of Appeals' granting an after-the-fact variance to allow two illegally constructed buildings on the property to continue standing.

Boy Scouts Honor 9/11 Victims With Nearly 3,000 Flags

Boy Scouts on Long Island were honoring victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks Wednesday. The Scouts carefully planted 2,977 American flags on the front lawn of the Massapequa Park Village Hall.
