Man gets 40 years for Aurora crash that killed teenager

(AP) — A man who ran a red light while drunk, killing a teenager in another car, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. Olivos-Gutierrez did not have a valid driver's license and is a habitual traffic offender with three prior DUI offenses.

1st investigations wrapping up on over-budget VA hospital

(AP) — VA Deputy Secretary Sloan Gibson says the first inquiries into what went wrong with a vastly over-budget veterans medical center outside Denver could be finished soon. During a visit to the construction site in suburban Aurora Wednesday, Gibson said an Army Corps of Engineers review of the project should wrap up in the next few weeks.
