5 killed in head-on collision in southwest Georgia LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say five people in southwest Georgia have been killed in a head-on collision. Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright says a two-vehicle crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Friday near LaGrange, about 45 miles north of Columbus. Two people also were injured.
