I do not have a good relationship with email. On a typical weekday I get several dozen PR pitches, most of which only receive a cursory glance before being thrown in the trash. I treat everything else as a to-do list: notes from my editors, upcoming event invites, and story ideas; they all sit in my inbox as a reminder, "Hey, you have to do this really important thing.
