Behind Closed Doors: State changeover comes with a hefty price tag
What can a million dollars buy? A pretty good inauguration and a transition from congress into the governor's office. Gov. Mike Pence disclosed Friday that his transition team raised $1,087,493.65 for his January inaugural weekend activities and for the expenses of paying staff and building an administration as he prepared to take over the reins of Indiana government. Pence and his wife, Karen Pence, recently donated $100,000 left over from the inaugural fund to the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.
