Pumpkin products proliferate

Pumpkin-flavored products have increased 18.8 percent, selling more than $290 million in 2012. Pumpkin shows up in everything from breakfast food to beer, and this year the seasonal best-seller got an earlier start than usual, according to the New York-based marketing firm Nielsen.
