Gunfire at Houston apartments leads police to man shot twice

A 30-year-old man was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in southeast Houston. The shooting happened about 1:45 a.m. at 5610 Royal Palms near Griggs, according to the Houston Police Department. Police said residents heard gunshots and then found the man wounded in an apartment. They called 911. When officers arrived, the residents directed them to the unit. The man appeared to have been shot twice, police said. He was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital and was in critical condition. Investigators so far have no suspects or motive in the case.
