Lavern Wilkinson dies of missed cancer
The sad, inevitable ending came far too soon for Lavern Wilkinson. The courageous mom, whose treatable lung cancer went unnoticed by Kings County Hospital doctors for more than two years, died Thursday at Long Island College Hospital.
