U. ROCHESTER (US) — Human brain cells made from reprogrammed skin cells may lead to new treatments for diseases such as multiple sclerosis and some rare, often fatal, childhood disorders.Published in the journal Cell Stem Cell, the new study is the first successful attempt to use human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) to produce a population of cells that are critical to neural signaling in the brain.
