Verizon iPhone Sales Rise 25% Though Apple Concerns Remain (Update 1)

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Verizon said it activated 4 million iPhones from Apple in its first quarter. The good news is that's 25% increase compared to the same period a year ago. The bad news is that people are still flocking to older phones. On a conference call Thursday, Verizon Chief Financial Officer Fran Shammo said the New York-based telecom had sold 2 million iPhone 5 units during the quarter along with another 2 million 3G devices (read iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S).
