U.S. stocks open up, extending record run
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Wall Street on Wednesday built on its record run, bolstered by data showing a larger-than-anticipated hike in private-sector payrolls in Feburary. Ahead of the open, stock-index futures extended gains after Automatic Data Processing Inc. reported private-sector jobs rose by 198,000 last month. The January jobs data were revised higher. "It all looks good, the numbers are showing roughly 200,000 [additional jobs] now for the last two months," said Nick Raich, CEO of the Earnings Scout, an independent micro economic research firm specializing in corporate earnings
