Twitter has new weapon vs. email impostors
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Twitter on Thursday said it has begun using a technology to make it harder for impostors to send Twitter members forged e-mails purportedly from the social microblogging site. The new system, called DMARC, for "Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance," is aimed at making it "extremely unlikely that most of our users will see any email pretending to be from a Twitter.com address," Twitter said in a company blog post.
