Stocks Dip Ahead of Fed, Facebook Earnings
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Major U.S. stock averages pulled back Wednesday as investors digested a somewhat negative headline GDP number and took profits after the benchmark indices touched multi-year highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was sliding more than 16 points, or 0.12%, at 13,937. The blue-chip index has booked gains in seven of the past eight sessions.
Breadth was slightly negative, with losers outnumbering winners 16 to 14. Cisco , Pfizer , DuPont and Exxon were the sharpest blue-chip decliners.
