NJ lawmakers poised to pass Internet gambling bill
TRENTON, N.J. — The New Jersey state Assembly has passed a bill that would legalize Internet gambling.The lawmakers agreed Tuesday to changes demanded by Gov. Chris Christie, who could sign it by day's end. The bill now goes to the state Senate, which has also promised to approve it.The changes include a 10-year trial period and higher taxes on casinos' online winnings.
