NJ lawmakers pass Internet gambling bill
TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey's Internet gambling law is now in Gov. Chris Christie's hands.The state legislature passed a bill Tuesday that would legalize Internet gambling.The lawmakers agreed Tuesday to earlier changes demanded Christie, who could sign it by day's end. The state Assembly and Senate passed the bill by wide margins.The changes include a 10-year trial period and higher taxes on casinos' online winnings.
