NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Apple Inc. will likely have a new announcement in the spring, said Gene Munster, senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray in a report Friday. Apple has a full pipeline this year, including a cheaper phone and a television product that could lift investor's mood, added Munster. The analyst also believes that the tech giant will update the Apple TV ahead of a television launch.
