Japan stocks follow U.S. lower, but Tosoh rallies
LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Fresh losses on Wall Street and an overnight gain for the yen helped send Japanese stocks lower in early Friday trading. The Nikkei Stock Average traded 0.3% lower at 11,276.13, though off its opening lows, while the Topix dropped 0.6%. The dollar weakened against the yen Thursday in North America, dipping below the 93 level several times, to help weigh on exporters.
