German appointed to head scandal-hit Vatican bank
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Vatican appointed German lawyer Ernst von Freyberg on Friday to head its bank, filling a post left vacant since May when the previous chief was ousted from the scandal-tainted institution.
