Financial stocks up, budget talks stagnant
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - Financial stocks were trading higher on Monday despite no progress over sequester cuts from Washington and budget talks looked to head for more roadblocks. The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund , which tracks financial stocks in the S&P 500, was up slightly. Citigroup Inc. shares were up more than 1% as Chief Executive Mike Corbat gets ready to give a major presentation on Tuesday at the firm's financial services conference in Boston.
