Dell to cut 'limited number' of jobs in Texas
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Dell Inc. on Thursday said it plans to eliminate some jobs in Central Texas, which includes Round Rock, where the technology company is based. A company spokesman told MarketWatch that "a limited number of team members in Central Texas and elsewhere were affected." But the spokesman David Frink also noted that Dell "added to our workforce globally and in Central Texas by several hundred positions in the past year beyond that created by acquisitions and [we] continue to hire for a variety of skill sets."
