Caterpillar raised to outperform by BMO Capital
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Caterpillar Inc. was upgraded to an outperform rating from market perform by BMO Capital Markets on Tuesday. The upgrade was attributed to "promising global developments, strong global liquidity, increased investor optimism, well-defined headwinds, the desire by global PMs to build exposure to pent-up demand in construction end markets, and efforts by Caterpillar to improve earnings per share," BMO analysts wrote in a note.
