Peoria-based Caterpillar Inc. is considering closing its distribution facility in central Pennsylvania. The York Distribution Center in Springettsbury Township employs 250 people. In 1998, Caterpillar closed its larger manufacturing operation at the Pennsylvania site, cutting more than 1,000 jobs.
